I love that you also use an Excel spreadsheet to track all of this. I keep track of the initial 7000 film list that TSPDT uses. You might enjoy my Year in Film series. I haven't tried too much to move towards the 1000 because of trying to complete all the Academy Awards films, but I think our minds are in the same alignment.

This website is great. Would you be interested in writing about the upcoming Jersey based Branchage film festival. It shows a wide range of films, from classic british cinema (If…, I know where I'm going) to new experimental filmmaking (Max Hatler), avant garde (Andrew Kotting) as well as getting the best out of the cinema experience by screening in thought provoking locations. The film ISOLATION, following social photographer Stuart Griffiths as he meets ex-soldiers around the UK is screening in the Jersey War Tunnels, while 3D lights displays on Mont Orgueil Castle accompany a screenin of The Secret of Kells. What a wonderful website – I got to it through the O Lucky Man. I was wondering whether you'd be interested in a festival that I work for than runs 1st – 4th October in Jersey http://www.branchagefestival.com

We're showing an interesting range of films – from classic British films like Powell and Pressburger's I know where I'm going and Anderson's IF… to the latest in new British experimental animation (Max Hattler), old time avant garde like Andrew Kotting, and new releases such as Fish Tank. The films are shown in locations that are hoped to complement and provoke thought about the film – the film Isolation about social photographer Stuart Griffiths meeting and talking to soldiers returned from war, is being shown in the Jersey Tunnels while the new Irish animation The SEcret of Kells has a screening in Mont Orgueil Castle, with a 3D light display from artist collectives Seeper and Flat-e.
