a great movie and a wonderful video essay. i think this is an underrated movie of the decade. im not seeing it on alot of top 10s but i appreciate the critical analysis put in here. unpacking “the look” and also the narrative you see just how complex and frankly unsettling the movie is. i love it!

Thank you Dan – if you do rewatch it please let me know your impressions! I know it's infuriating near the end but upon rewatching it as a narrative pretzel a la MULHOLLAND DR. it ends up being a lot of fun.

Superb film Kevin – really nicely put together and edited; thoughtful and insightful commentary. This is a film I must revisit as it infuriated me on first viewing – not because I didn't like it but I felt I was missing something. It's going to be nice to see the film from the perspective discussed here.
