Some of my favorite photos from my recent trip to Disney World are of the Boardwalk area. I had lot of fun just wandering around the Boardwalk snapping photos. It’s really a beautiful area disney acting auditions and worthy of your time when you’re visiting Disney World. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

I also find that the lack of animation films is a sad, myself being a fan of animation. The only animation films on the list, based off of a quick look, are 5 Disney features (In order, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Fantasia, Pinocchio, Dumbo, and Bambi; the first five, and this probably isn't coincidental), 2 Miyazaki films (In order, My Neighbour Totoro and Spirited Away), and one Pixar film (Toy Story). I like the first five Disney films, but I find the exclusion of Sleeping Beauty, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, and The Fox and the Hound, and I prefer Finding Nemo to Toy Story. There are no animated shorts (sorry Chuck Jones), and not that many shorts in general. There is a lack of Japanese animation (Much of Studio Ghibli's other greats works are ignored, and so is Millenium Actress), though I am glad that Akira fell off the list two years ago. Not to mention the other remarkable animated films in other categories, such as Kirikou and the Sorceress, The Iron Giant, Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Yellow Submarine, The Triplets of Belleville, Waking Life, and Persepolis, just to name a few.

I'd also like to see more 21st century films on the list next time, even though they have much more weight on their shoulders. A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Russian Ark, and Moulin Rouge!, which have fallen off either this year or last year, are far superior to something as commercial and unartful as The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings, which is still on the list. Not to mention the exclusion of Far from Heaven, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Moolaade, Elephant, Waking Life, Million Dollar Baby, Los Angeles Plays Itself, The House of Mirth, Marie Antoinette, Zodiac, Platform, 25th Hour, The World, and so, so, so much more.

But, however, there is hope that I happened upon. Technically speaking, you don't have to be a hired critic to be counted on the list for. Looking through the names of people who listed The Magnificent Ambersons as one of their favorite movies, I was shocked to see the name of Bill Georgaris, on of the site's owners, listed. Looking through all of the 1000 movies listed (I have a lot of free time), I discovered his name under other movies (Distant Voices, Still Lives, for example), and he had more than ten (I think it was 18). I'm guessing the site counts people in their category, who give ratings for movies rather than reviews, as critics. So, technically speaking, if any of us were to make a website about movies and give reviews or ratings, we would count as critics.

Now, what I'm saying is that we all get together and make a website like that, and each of us write reviews for movies. Then, since we technically count as critics, we can give them lists of our favorite movies, and also make "list" lists (these refer to non Top-Ten lists, such as AFI's 100 Years... 100 Movies) that also help support these movies. This way, movies that are otherwise absent can be included, and we can also help low-ranking movies that might fall off next year.

Anyone else interested?

I've seen "Out 1"; it played in New York and a few other places in 2006-7. Probably my favorite film and Rivette's easily my favorite director. I'm actually surprised that it hasn't shown up on the TSP list yet - despite its length and relative unavailability, I'm sure plenty of critics and "serious" film people have gotten to it by now. Virtually everybody I've met (mostly online) who has seen it considers it great - certainly for me it was the most amazing film event in my life. If only it, Spectre and L'Amour fou were widely available I think Rivette's stock would definitely rise.
