Yeah, really.  When I saw the link on &quot;The House Next Door&quot; I thought &quot;Are you kidding me?&quot; There are films that are on this list that I don&#039;t like but at least I recognize their significance to cinema history.  But &quot;Garp?&quot;    

Given that three of the citations are foreign, I wonder if perhaps critics overseas rate the film higher than US critics.  Perhaps it flatters their notions of what life in the US is like: grotesque mixed with mundane, punctuated by unexpected violence.</description>
