I must confess I have not really investigated any &quot;new&quot; European directors (except Ruiz) in the past couple of years.  Even so -- my unviewed Asian film backlog only grows larger.  Perhaps had I not been captivated by (some of) HK cinema I would have had time to start paying a little more attention to Europe again.  ;~}</description>
